Diamond Center

So about two weeks ago Jaya saw a commercial for the Diamond Center, they were going to be having a competition for kids to sing their jingle at the mall on Saturday the 12th...so of course Jaya wanted to do it.  So we went and got her registered, we were not sure if she would be singing because they could only get 8 kids in each category and those were determined by age.  We were supposed to be notified on Wed if she would be singing and we got the call!! She was so excited and had been practicing and even made me promise that I would buy her a new sparkly dress if she was picked.  The sad part about all this was that I was going to be at graduation and wasn't sure if I was going to get there to see it!  Thankfully my mom and Mallory used the camera to record it just in case......here is her singing debut!

Graduation ended up lasting about 1.5 hours so we took a couple of quick pictures after and then took off, Rajeev was already there and I he called me when they were starting to announce her and of course we were just pulling into the mall, Nick dropped me off at the door and I ditched the heels, left my graduation gown on and ran through the store...it was quite the scene!  I got there and she was just walking off :( But I got to watch the video and she looked beautiful.  She did not end up winning but did a great job for her first time singing in front of people and she has already asked if she can do it again next year.  I think we will probably put both the girls in.  I know they will do great!
