Prematurity awareness day

Okay - so my blog has lost all it's pictures, not sure what is happening but I still wanted to make sure I was posting! Today is prematurity awareness day....it's a day to raise awareness to help give all babies a fighting chance!! Working in OB now I see how often people say they want to have their babies early because of convienence reasons but that is NOT why babies should come early! Do these people really know what can happen and just how fragile these little lives are??  I don't think they do....this has gotten me thinking a lot about when Jaya was born she is reason I fight for all babies!! So scary and so helpless to watch your baby go through test after test, poke after poke.  It is just heartbreaking - but today looking at her, she is happy and as healthy as she can be :)  She has grown so much in the past 7 years...such a strong girl, we can all learn so much from her!
