So since my last post on Monday, we have had stuff going on! We got one piece of bad news, our nanny Tracey had to move back home and can no longer watch the kids! They really liked her and so did we, but now we are back to square one looking for someone, luckily our membership on the nanny site didn't expire until today so I did come up with a few more names as well as checking around for some local in home day cares! Not sure how this is going to turn out - but we need to figure something out soon - I have class on Monday!!!
We started working on our bedroom to cover up that oh so attractive purple sponge paint, and I think it is almost done, 4 coats of red later! Yes we went with a brick red and LOVE it - I will get some new pictures tomorrow and put them up, I wanted to wait until we were all done so I could post the before and after shots! Two walls are that color and the rest are like an almond color! It is very pretty....so when that is all done we are on to the living room....we decided to carry the brown and green from the kitchen over and also to add the almond color on one wall too, I am soooo excited about it! Then we are on to the basement and finish the room down there, hoping to get that done before Porter comes at spring break!
Still haven't gotten my psych test back yet, I am pretty anxious about that too, it's been so long since I have taken an all essay test, sometimes it is weird to be back in school, but I am excited about learning new things!
Miss Jaya has done very well with her big girl undies and just about any time the phone rings no matter who it is - she feels the need to yell so they can hear her! She loves being a big girl!!!
She is looking forward to her big surprise when she is all potty trained, she wants a scooter and a cubs shirt like daddy's!!!
And today I finally made an appointment with the Dr for my knee....some of you know that I hurt my knee when we were home a couple weeks back and it is still bothering me so I went it. Found a great doctor who is in family practice and actually she is going to see the whole family, which is so nice, their office is right down the road from us. We had the girls into a pedi, but come to find out that they don't take the insurance we have, and we didn't know that until after our visit and got the bill!!!!!!!! OUCH!!!!!! But you live and learn right??? So Dr.Newkirk is great, she reminds me a lot of the girls Dr before! But any who she is sending me to PT for my knee and we will see what happens in a few weeks.....hopefully it gets better!
The weather has been fine - the snow is starting to melt again - I am sure that only means we will get more!!! I can't wait for spring, as I drive around this town I find more and more wonderful parks....they are everywhere! The kids are going to love it!
