missing family.......

I know I blog about this often, but today we were shopping for some supplies for Neelas party tomorrow, and I just really miss being around everyone at these times! I remember planning for Jaya's 2nd birthday - it was at our house, everyone was there and I was prego with Neela!!! I guess it just makes me sad that Neela won't have parties that Jaya had.....but it is OK! I am making a cake tomorrow and then Jaya and I will get things all ready, Brad, Sarah, and our neighbors will be here to celebrate with us....oh and Porter will be as well - via skype of course, so that will be very cool!!!!!!

I can't even believe she is going to be 2 already!!! She is not talking as much as Jaya was, but boy does she understand EVERYTHING!!! I do have a funny story to share......we bought Jaya, Kidz Bop 15 for Christmas, and "Love Story" by Taylor Swift is on there, and so is a Nickelback song that we like. Well Taylors song is on before Nickelback and I always forget that, so today I put the CD on while we were in the car, Jaya wanted me to play Nickelback so I was scrolling through the CD and passed up Love Story.....Neela was NOT happy about this, she started grunting and shaking her head no! Nick and I had to laugh, and then later she was just about asleep and I put it on Love Story, she immediately chirped up and started dancing in her car seat!
I am amazed everyday at the things she does do, she is learning more and more sign language and understands what it means to say "sorry"...... she loves to listen while we read to her.... and LOVES to talk to anyone via skype! She is always pointing to computer when I am on the phone!
