My first week of clinicals this semester is done! This was a crazy week with classes, usually we will have a prep day on Wed, where we find out who our patient is and gather information about them. We then use this information to compile a data base that we will use in their cares. Normally we have 2 days to work on this, however this week there was no prep day, so we got information on Thursday evening and then it was all due this morning when we met! WOW - so much paperwork...but I guess that comes with the territory! I did enjoy getting to take care of my patient and now I am able to chart on the hospitals computer system and I am learning so much! I know it will be a hard semester but I can get through it....one step at a time right? :)
We now have 3 more weeks in med surg and then I am off to OB! Super excited about that!! I will keep you all posted on how its going!
