Cadaver Lab

So yesterday we got to visit the cadaver lab in whitewater...if you don't know what that is, it's a lba where they use human bodies to study, people who may have died and donated their body to science. I am not going to lie, I was a little creeped out when we first opened up the boxes the bodies were in, but they were covered with a sheet and Dr. Tom was really good about uncovering the body a little at a time and wow was it cool! If only we had gone there when we were studying the muscles!! Is it wrong to think it was cool, gosh I hope not!!
We were able to examine 2 bodies, one female and one male; check out internal organs and locate muscles, which was really neat, it's great when we can be hands on like that, makes a little easier to learn.
After looking over both bodies we examined some hearts and brains, again so neat! I am pretty sure the heart I was looking at had a stent in it!
Needless to say this was the best field trip I have had in a LONG time :)
Other than that staying super busy with other classes, I have not been very good about blogging but hope to get some more pictures up here soon!

That's not weird. During some of my figure drawing classes in college it would have been really helpful to have checked out a cadaver my muscles and stuff. I envy you!! So if that makes you weird, count me as weird too.
