Good days and not so good days....

Well the week started out pretty good....still on the nanny hunt but our neighbors were kind enough to watch the kids for me on Monday....but I did get a phone call...a job offer from Mercy Options. This is a childcare institute, kids live, go to school and have therapy all in this facility. I was pretty excited to get this offer, then Wed rolled around and I finally got my test back. For those of you who have been reading the blog, you know I was worried about this test, all essay and is psych of all things, but I did well.....got an 87%! Pretty proud of myself considering it's been years since I have taken a test like that!!! So I got home from class on that day to get another call from Mercy again - this time for an interview as a unit clerk for the ER! I went in for that interview this morning at 7am....it went well and I will hopefully know something by early next week. So I was actually starting to think things were on the up and up, but again I was wrong!
We still had no nanny and now Neela was getting sick, we thought it was just her teeth, until this morning. Normally she will wake up between 9 and 9:30am, but this morning I heard nothing, so finally at 10 I told Jaya that we should go and wake her up, but Neela wanted to sleep!
I got her out of bed and noticed that her right eye was swollen and she was a little wheezy! So we went in - dr listened to her and told me we needed a chest x-ray....boy did that bring back memories! I knew they would want her on what they call the bicycle seat. If you have never taken your baby in for a chest or stomach x ray - these are the WORST!!!!! They strap the kids into this crazy contraption and you are left standing there wiping away their tears along with your own, well at least I was. I just kept thinking Neela is supposed to be our healthy baby.....what is going on, well the dr thought she had pnemonia....but luckily it is only bronchitis.
So now we have a nebulizer to use 4 times a day to help her along. We did 2 treatments today and she actually did okay with them. We will find out tomorrow when I have to do them alone how she will handle it. Jaya tries to help by singing to her or tickling her feet, which does help cause when she laughs she takes deeper breaths.

So now Nick and I are just sitting here watching ER and hoping the kids sleep though the night!
I will keep everyone posted on what happens on the job front along with the whole nanny deal too!

Sorry that Neela is sick. My son was on a neebulizer for 3 or 4 years because he would get pneumonia every other spring. He out grew it about two years ago. In fact I just got rid of the icky machine. Keep your chin up things will get better.
