4th of July

We had such a great weekend and hope everyone else had a great 4th as well!
On Friday Bailey and Anne came to visit - along with Molly (their dog), which the kids LOVED!!
They got here Friday afternoon and we spent the rest of the day just catching up and playing outside. We went over to the soccer field behind our house and the everyone ran around, playing a little Frisbee and a little soccer, needless to say we were trying wear the kids out and I think it worked, cause everyone slept great! We stayed up, played a little bean bag toss in the dark and then inside for some eucure, we were playing boys against girls and the I am sad to say that the boys won!! We tried Anne, next time it's ours!!!
Saturday we got up, lounged around for a while then we were off, went to the Farmers market, then to show our visitors around town! We ended up at Macs Pizza Shack for lunch and it was really good, I didn't realize they had a buffet and we had the best Wisconsin Cheese soup! :)
Everyone got rested up for the festivities that night - we were going to see the fireworks after dinner...and I made my first ice cream cake, and it turned out surprisingly well - I am pretty proud of myself, nothing too fancy, not like Dairy Queen by any means but still pretty darn good!
The kids loved the fireworks and I think it is safe to say that we were all VERY impressed with the finalie, I think this was the first time we have taken Jaya to see a firework show, Nick has usually done them in the past!
So today we spent the day lounging around, the kids played outside in the sprinkler and in the baby pool - while Bailey made us a great breakfast and some awesome burgers for lunch!!!
Thank you Bailey and Anne for coming to visit - we had a great time and hope we can do it again soon!! Love you both!!!

Now back to work tomorrow and then on Thursday we are heading back to Oxford for a couple of days!
Oh and CONGRATS to Kristen and Nick Henley who welcomed a health baby girl into the world this morning - Elaina Ruth was born this morning at 7lbs. 10oz. I am so happy for you both and can't wait to see pictures of your precious one..love you!

Hope everyone enjoyed their holiday weekend, I did take a TON of pictures this weekend and I will work on getting some up later tonight!
So Happy 4th of July and love to everyone!!!
