Demo Derby...

On Sunday we went to a near by town for a little festival...called Turtle fest, I know it's weird, but hilarious! We have seen demolition derbys before but never a combine one! There were 5 combines in each set and it was great, needless to say it did not last very long, but the kids did have fun! Then we took them down to the rides, Porter wanted to do the swings, and Jaya the merry go round, so I went with Jaya thinking that I could hold Neela on a horse too....WRONG - she would not let go of me the whole time. They were so good while we were there that we came back into town had dinner and took them to the park! It really was a great weekend, I miss being home in the evenings, it's harder than I thought! I know that once I have a couple of days a week where we get to do stuff as a family it will make a difference!
The weather has been sort of crummy and that stinks because we bought the kids a new sprinkler to play in, so hopefully this weekend will be sunny and warm!
We have been getting ready for our visitors, Mark, Anne and Molly will be here sometime on Friday, the kids have worked really hard cleaning up the basement and I think they are just so excited to have a dog here for the weekend!
Well I tried to get the kids into swimming lessons at the Y, but they only let 4 kids in the class and we didn't get in! But I am going to work on a schedule to take them to the pool at least 2 times a week, maybe even more - they all do love the water!
