Appointment

Well today was the day.....we left Janesville around 12:45 and got to the childrens hospital just in time to register. Normally things move really slow and they weren't suppose to get us in until 3:20pm, but the OR was open!! YAY for us! So it seemed like all at once the docs came in to each tell us a different part of how the testing was going to go....of course Jaya got anxious, so an oral seditive was needed! Then we got gowned up and I was able to take her back and wait till she was under....

We walked into the OR and the whole team was there....it was crazy to listen to because I was holding Jaya and singing to her to calm her down and they called a "time out" which is when all the docs get together to review the chart real quick. Then the mask came out, which is always hard, she is screaming the tears are flowing - from both of us! But we got through it - it took about an hour and then the doc came out to talk to us. Jaya did great - there was NO REFLUX into her kidney which is wonderful news! And then we found that her bladder can hold a large amt of fluid but that was really all he could tell today. The doctor said that the cause of her UTI's is because of her bladder spams....so we are just going to stay on the preventative antibiotic, and then the Oxybutin for her spasms! The next time we go in for a visit he will prob do the flow study again to see if her bladder spasms have gotten any better!
It is great leaving an appt with good news, and this has been the first in a while!!!!!
So lets just hope that she is on a track to less doctor visits!
