Jaya and I made our way to Madison this afternoon to meet with the nurse practitioner in urology....we got there and of course she had to use the restroom so I talked with one of the nurses and sure enough they wanted us to leave a sample so off we went!
Tricia (the NP) was super nice and just talked to me about what they would be doing next week, and there was also some paper work I had to sign, and then FINALLY some good news.
She was able to pull up the sample we left before seeing her and IT WAS CLEAR!!!! I can't tell you how excited I was to hear that.....finally the meds are working - now all I want are some answers as to why this keeps happening.
So next week the CMG is scheduled for Wed - and basically that will measure how much her bladder can hold and how bad her spasms really are. We also have been concerned about reflux into her good kidney, so I asked if they could go a VUGC (I think that is what it is called)...which is where they would insert some dye into her bladder to see if any would flow back up into her kidney. Tricia thought that would be fine so I think we are on for that.....so hopefully next week turns out really good!
Tricia asked if Jaya had any problems with general anesthesia, I don't think she realized how many times Jaya had actually been under, and I think when I was counting it came up to 10 times!!!!!!! WOW - that is way too many for a child, heck I haven't been under that many times!
So I will keep everyone posted as to how it goes next week, we won't know what time until Tuesday!!!
