Our first weekend

So here we are, our first official weekend in the new house by our selves! It feels like the time goes so slow, mostly during the week...I think that will change once we start doing more and the weather gets better. So this week - we went to the pedi, and I got Jaya in for her annual kidney ultrasound. The nurses were great and it took a while but Jaya did warm up to them after a while and even invited them to join us for lunch at McDonalds! We have the films in hand and will take them when we see Dr.Cain in Feb. - this will just be our normal follow up visit, so no worries!
Tracey came to watch the kids a couple different times this week and it went great! The kids LOVE her! In fact the day after they met her, Jaya kept asking when she was going to come back. So when Tracey did come to watch them, Jaya told us to leave - which by the way never happens! It was wonderful - Nick and I spent the day out (he was off work because the school corp here was closed)...I had to drop off paper work for classes and did get registered at Blackhawk Tech College for my CNA during the summer! I am so excited about getting started with that - and hoping they can squeeze me into the march session.
Also this week we got a wonderful suprise at the door, UPS - with a delivery of cheese cake and flowers.....a wonderful house warming gift from Uncle Mike, Samantha and Melissa - THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH!!!! There are some pictures below of the flowers and then the cheesecake and Jaya enjoying the chocolate one.
Neela is liking the new house, but is working on cutting her eye teeth, so needless to say - she is grumpy!!!!! But hopefully that will pass soon. And as I write this, I am sitting in bed, trying to stay away from everyone cause I have strep! Fun, fun! But went to urgent care this morning and got the antibiotics needed, so hopefully by tomorrow I will feel better!
Also this month happy birthday to Baby Shaan - who turned one at the begining of the month, Uncle Neil - who celebrated already! Happy birthday to Grampy (tomorrow) and NanaJi (26th) and Uncle Kenny! Hope everyone had wonderful days!
I am excited to say that we will be getting visitors soon!!! Uncle Rajeev and Aunti Kait are coming up for a wedding and will hopefully stay here for a day - but I think that Colin is trying to come with them, it will be fun!
