Today is the March for Babies in Lafayette! I really wish we could be there walking with people we know! But our walk here is next weekend, we aren't going to be walking here this year but we are still raising money for Team Jaya!!! It has been a little hard this year being in a place we are not very familiar with but next year we will be going strong again! My goal is to have a team of at least 15 people here and raise as much as we can!!! I never really knew what the march of dimes did for families or how they could educate people, but it is a great organization and no baby should have to suffer, it is not only hard for the baby but for the family as well - seeing your child in a place where you can't do anything but sit is the worst feeling ever!!!!
This is our 3rd year raising money for the March and it is a great feeling.....We did not do the first year after Jaya - heck we were still in the midst of surgerys and getting her all better!
But now we do and she loves doing it and wearing her Team Jaya shirt! So thank you to all of you walking today and knowing that with every dollar raised and every step taking more babies will be saved!
